Prep for your video series

Below are ideas to clarify for your video SERIES:

  1. Only several  minutes each

  2. Sporadic. No nagging timeline

  3. A Series allows focus on a specific topic in each video

  4. Let's not worry about distribution the time. It is an option.

  5. Shooting experience will help these 4 items become clearer…

Topics

  1. Create an outline of topics for your videos

    1. Print with big font as a live teleprompter guideline

  2. What are your favorite parallel examples from other markets? Real-world use cases and success stories?

  3. Consider the ideal internal/external guests to clarify topics while serving our goals


Elements

  1. Start with an intriguing Intro Hook to clarify the promise and deliver quick value

    1. Statistic, Insight, Impending shift

    2. Salty

  2. This will be the design of the video Thumbnail and Title (the promise)

  3. Supporting images?

    1. Add live or post

  4. Consider another related Hook to focus them to the end

  5. Cliffhanger Hook to the next Topic video

  6. Goals: Every video should have a related deliverable and/or call to action:

    1. Subscribe to series

    2. Comment... polls, Q&A

    3. Participate ..share

    4. Take action...Opt-in to meeting, etc

    5. Community...?

  7. We will create an intro/outro for info on company and services

  8. Distribution

    1. YouTube

    2. Socials LinkedIn, +?

    3. Our own blog/ gallery

  9. We will watch both usage statistics (views, watch time) and sentiment reactions (likes, comments, shares) to gauge impact and preferences.

  1. Solo

    1. Face to face and/or off camera (my Android)

    2. On stage side by side

  3. 1 stationary camera headshot

  4. Or handheld (with post editing)

  5. 2 separate cameras... remote (like Zoom)

  6. Single take stream

  7. Other assets 

    1. Edited "B roll" clips overlay images/media

    2. Additional cameras 

      1. Your iPhone

      2. Our laptops

      3. My GoPro


Thinking

  1.  What core principles and values  do you hope to convey? Generosity, knowledge-sharing, continuous learning, etc.

  2. Your Unique Role? Venture Partner, Teacher, Researcher, Advocate paving the way forward!

  3. Promise? Understanding... Innovation ... Motivation … "Success is Achievable!"
